The DFV Engine

The most successful grand prix engine of all time, from its debut victory in 1967 the DFV went on to score 155 grand prix victories and powered 12 drivers and 10 constructors to World Championships. Today the DFV is still notching up victories and we supply new engines or rebuild existing ones to suit your requirements.

The FVC/A Engine

The FVA was commissioned by Ford in 1966 (at the same time as the DFV) for Formula 2. It dominated the category until the rule change to 2L in 1972. When the European 2L Sportscar championship arrived in 1970 the potential of increasing the capacity of the FVA was realised and the 1790cc FVC was born. Sportscar manufacturers such as Chevron and Lola soon realised the capabilities of the FVC and it became the engine of choice.

The BDG/A Engine

The BD engine was initially introduced in 1970 for the Ford Escort RS1600. It was then developed for use in Formula 2 and Sportscar racing throughout the 1970’s, culminating in the 2L aluminium block BDG. This hugely versatile engine has done road, rally, and race.

The Formula Junior Engine

The Formula Junior series was devised by Count Johnny Lurani in 1958 as a training ground for future stars. The Cosworth Formula Junior engine was Keith Duckworth and Mike Costins first project in 1960 for the Lotus 18. The rules stated that engines used had to be of road car origin and could be bored to increase capacity to a maximum of 1100cc and Cosworth saw the potential in the Ford Anglia engine, and this is a hugely popular series today.
